Ethylene glycol distearate is an important additive in cosmetics industry. It can be used as pearlescent, conditioner and thickener in shampoo, bath and other washing products.
It is synthesized by esterification of ethylene glycol and stearic acid.The reaction temperature of the traditional synthesis process is high, generally between (150 ~ 210°C).

Application
EGDS is well used in shampoos, body lotions, moisturizers and high-grade liquid detergents. It can also be used as a pearlescent dispersant, solubilizer, lubricant and metalworking detergent. When the product is cold-fitted, the pearlite sheet needs to be formulated into pearlescent pulp in advance.
