Pine oil is a liquid mixture of macromolecular hydrocarbons distilled from pine roots at 240 ~ 400 C. Pine oil is easy to dissolve in organic solvents such as ether, ethanol, soluble in glacial acetic acid, sodium hydroxide and other solutions, but difficult to dissolve in water.
